The Herentalselaar is the name of the tree that literally makes the connection between the two sides of the pedestrian tunnel. When you walk through the tunnel, you find yourself at the foot of the tree, which flows into a pond on one side and fertile soil on the other. In and around the tree it is bustling with animal, vegetable and human life. Because of the light and the golden, warm atmosphere, the artwork brings a fairytale experience.
